Paper Cutz Challenge #103: School Days- 1,2,3

Paper Cutz Challenge  design team is preparing us for another exciting school year! For this challenge you can only use 1 ribbon, two buttons and three colors on a back to school project. Since school colors are so colorful, I had a really tough time trying to only use three colors. I had to drew inspiration from my teacher pet memories and school colors!  My baby girl is starting pre-school next Monday, and I thought changing the wording to hello teacher would be more appropriate. However I can only imagine, how dazzled her teachers will be when they see her high spirited and lovable personality. So without further ado, I present to you my simply created "Teacher's Pet" school day card. I hope you enjoy! As always please feel free to leave comment and helpful tips.

Cricut Cardz Challenge # 86 has gone "Tuitti Fruitti"

The title for this week's challenge over at Cricut Ccardz Challenge Blogspot, will make you sing and dance the famous song by Little Richard. Tuitti Fruitti on Rudy...A Whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo :) Everyone has gotten into the fruit spirit and created some wonderful projects. I suggest you join in the tuitti fruitti dance before the excitement is over (Projects must be posted by midnight EST Tuesday August 9h). The only cricut cart that I have (that has a fruit) is Classic Font. Unfortunately I wanted a less popular fruit to showcase, so I paper pieced a bunch of grapes. I had so much fun creating this card, that it inspired me to try and create another fruit! Fingers crossed that it turns out just as cute :) Without further ado, I present to you my simply created "Isn't Life Grape" tuitti fruitti card. I hope you enjoy and as always please feel free to leave comments and helpful tips!

CFC13-The Long and Short of it

Cas-ual Fridays design team has driven me to my limit this week! I had the hardest time resisting the urge to fill  my white card base with the cutest embellishments. Now I know how Edward felt when he first met Bella. But of course you know what happens after that right? The love that Edward has for Bella, makes him strong enough to resist her sweet singing blood. Well Edward I too will resist! I'm going to stay true to the challenge and embrace the white space. Thanks to the cutest animated creature since Mini Mouse, I was able to simply create my first 4 by 9 card. What character has more lovable appeal than Mini you may say?  I will give you a few clues. She has long blonde hair, the cutest white dress, and is blue all over. Yeap, you guessed it! Smurfette. After seeing the preview for "The Smurfs " I just had to capture her sassy personality for this challenge. So without further ado, I present to you "You're so Smurfette ". I hope you enjoy and as always feel free to leave comment and helpful tips!

Cricut Cardz Challenge # 85 Hoilday

This week at Cricut Cardz Challenge, they are celebrating every and any kind of holiday that you can think of. St. Patrick's Day, Friendship Day, Earth Day, and yes even your birthday! My immediately thought was it's going to be Christmas central but to my surprise it wasn't. Thanksgiving and Halloween give Christmas a good run for it's gifts! I don't know about you but I couldn't get into a holiday mood (even after listening to Paul McCartney Wonderful Christmas Time). Its way to hot for cocoa and to bright for autumn colors, so I went for a everyday type of holiday L-O-V-E. You see my opinion about Valentine's Day is that you can celebrate it all year long. Say I love you, give flowers and chocolate delights to those you care about. Expressing your love to family and friends will never go out of season :) So without further ado, I present to you my simple creation for Cricut Cardz Challenge # 85 Hoilday. I hope you enjoy and as always please feel free to leave comments and helpful tips!

A Card for 3 Challenges!

Last week was such a blur that I totally forgot about this week challenges! While surfing youtube I found an interesting tutorial for a very fun card. It maybe old to some of you but its new to me (so bear with me while my excitement stops bubbling). The style of this fun card is called "swing flip flop" (try saying that five times). And my oh my is it amazing! Its like having two surprises in one. I encourage you to try it out! You won't be disappointed. You may even become hooked like me and make tons of them. I will enter my simple creation in my favorite blog challenges:
                                           cricut cardz challenge-monogram initial
                                           cas-ualfridays-rub on or sticker
paper cutz challenge-anything type of project

I hope you enjoy and as always please feel free to leave comments and helpful tips!

Paper Playtime Challenge #50

Sigh of relief! I barely made the deadline for paperplaytime.blogspot.com summer theme challenge for this week. I was torn between two summer related dies in my mini cricut library. Can you guess what they were? The sun was one observably and the ladder was an umbrella. I guess I could have used them both but I needed to keep this one short and sweet. I can only hope my take on summer will shine as bright as other entries. I have never seen so many beautiful creations on a blog challenge before. I know that I am a newbie to crafting but my goodness! I have never heard of copic markers and digital stamping before until this very day. I am so "pro cricut" that I totally missed out on a very different yet creative approach to crafting. For those of you who use the copics for this challenge (Wendy Made Cammi and Mary C just to name a few) you have great patience and profound coloring techniques. I told myself that I would love to try but thought twice after seeing the prices for a set of copic markers. I rather have a closet full of the lastest Steve Madden shoe collection:) Well without further ado I present to you my simple (and I do emphasize the word simple) version of summer! I hope you enjoy and as always please feel free to leave me comments and helpful tips.
